The Star

ALOR STAR: The Sultan of Kedah has asked state administrative officers to pay close attention to their personal appearance, including their dressing.

He said that apart from being well disciplined at all times, the officers should think and weigh what they were going to utter to others before doing so to serve as good examples to their subordinates.

Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah also urged them to improve their knowledge and skills in information technology.

He said they needed to enhance their management skills in order to become more competent and efficient in their work.

He said this in his speech at the Kedah Civil Service Officers Night 2007 held in conjunction with his 80th birthday celebrations at the Seri Mentaloon Hall here on Friday.

At the same function, he launched the Golden Jubilee Logo entitled “Royal Heritage” to mark his 50 years’ reign as the Sultan of Kedah which will be celebrated next year.
