More bite for bureau

WITH the pay rise for civil servants, I hope that our bureaucrats will buck up and improve the delivery system.

I have been communicating with a number of government departments and I observe that there are still a few bad hats who do not bother even to give a simple reply.

Sometimes, a complaint lodged with the Public Complaints Bureau gets the much-awaited reply. For those who don’t follow up, invariably their cases are not attended to.

I would suggest that the Public Complaints Bureau be given more bite to ensure that government agencies provide a good delivery system.
