17,000 apply for 43 MACC vacancies

The Star

PUTRAJAYA: Some 17,000 people have expressed interest in playing a part to ensure a corrupt-free country. But only 43 will make it.

That is the number of applications the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) received for its vacancies for officer posts.

Its deputy commissioner Datuk Zakaria Jaafar said: “We are surprised to have received such overwhelming response from job seekers.

“Of the thousands who submitted applications, only 1,800 will sit for a test and be called for an interview arranged by the Public Services Commission,” Zakaria said after witnessing the handing-over of keys to the new office for three of the MACC’s divisions.

kalau macam ni tak heran la kes2 rasuah dan penyelewengan tidak akan selesai dengan cepat, kalau dah kerja banyak tapi kakitangan kurang. ari tu kerajaan cakap nk tambah makin ramai pegawai penyiasat kat sprm? takkan tambah seribu lebih je?? kesiann...
